Ehsan Hazaveh is an Iranian independent photographer based in Wellington, New Zealand. He has been focusing on social, environmental, and political issues. He started working as a newspaper photographer in 2011 at the Iranian Labour News Agency. In 2012, he began working on personal projects, on subjects such as people living in remote environments and displaced people. He has been awarded the “Young Talent of Social Documentary Photography” two times from the Sheed Award in 2012 and 2013. Ehsan studied Master of Graphic Design at the University of Tehran. He is doing a PhD in Media Studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
