Our goal with this project is to create beautiful portraits with our youth to develop a sense of belonging and involvement in cultural representation. We believe a big reason why our youth feels disenfranchised and the one of the reason why they turn to violence and drugs is the lack of cultural stimulus. We would like to use the power of photography to develop a project where we can celebrate our culture. The references below serve as example of how we want to portrait our culture. We are looking for a photographer who is keen to take on the mission to bring visibility to our youth and even develop this project with them.
